preheat oven to 325°
sprinkle cubes with olive oil and salt; place in oven for 30-45 minutes
in a small saucepan melt the butter, all seasonings, salt & pepper to taste and let it cook for a minute (long enough to dissolve the salt)
add minced garlic and cook for, 30-60 seconds
turn off the oven and stove
put your dried out croutons in a bowl
pour your herb infused butter over the croutons and toss, or stir them around with a large spoon/your gloved hand
sprinkle copious amount of Parmesan and toss again
now take a bite. We call these "chef snacks" and it's completely acceptable because every good chef tastes their food
